I love this time of year with the leaves just starting to bud on the apples and ollalies at home. Such a time of hope and of newness? Thanks for the opportunity to speak to you today.

I believe that our country is under attack from the greatest enemy that we have ever faced: billions of pounds of food-like substances mostly manufactured out of corn and soy products.

The United States Census Bureau …the other nine years

This is Catherine Barr's speech presented at our National Ag Day Luncheon.

Good Morning…My name is Catherine Barr, most of you know me as Katie, but I also answer to mom, honey and of course, market manager.

Instead of standing up here and boring you with numbers, percentages and figures, I thought I would tell you some stories instead. The numbers will come later.

Most of you don’t know this about me…I grew up in a military family where we were stationed for the most part back east and in the south.
