Scholarship Information
The Santa Cruz County Farm Bureau is pleased to offer the following scholarship
to a deserving student interested in pursuing a career in agriculture.
The JIMMIE COX MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP is a
$2,000 award for a student entering or currently attending college and majoring in
agriculture. This award will be made for the remaining years in college (max. 4-years)
with verification of registration for each session of full time classes.
ELIGIBILITY: Students and/or their legal guardian must live either in Santa Cruz County or
within the Pajaro Valley Unified School District boundaries, or a current member of the Santa
Cruz County Farm Bureau.
CRITERIA: Selection will be based on the student’s scholastic record, agricultural potential,
special activities, personal history, letters of recommendation and financial need.
AWARD: The recipient of this scholarship will receive the award upon proof of enrollment in college.
The awards will be issued proportionately during the school year.
