Jimmie Cox Memorial Scholarship for 2010

It was announced that Katherine (Katie) Webb of Davenport has been awarded the Jimmie Cox Memorial Scholarship for 2010. She is currently attending UC Davis and will be entering her final year in the fall. A graduate of Santa Cruz High School, Katherine was involved in 4-H and is currently a member of Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Sorority as well as completing the Davis Honors Challenge. Katie’s major course of study is Agriculture and Resource Economics. She is preparing for a career in agricultural marketing. Katie hopes to participate in the family agricultural activities but would like to enter, on a small scale, the table olive oil market in Santa Cruz County in partnership with her younger brother.
